About Me

The idea is simple enough—combine images and text to convey a message in an informative way—but graphic design is more complex than this. Graphic design is the art of creating communication through visual elements including understanding the connotative use of typography, the value of negative space, psychological meaning of color, and the importance of accurate representation using images. Designers must have the ability to solve problems as they arise. One must be equipped with both dedication and drive to build a career as challenging and competitive as graphic design. What I love most about graphic design is that the forms and messages it takes are very diverse; it can be found everywhere. Design allows the freedom to experiment with the visual expression of ideas to reach an audience.

One of my main inspirations is Adrian Frutiger, the designer of the Univers typeface. Frutiger’s attention to typographic detail is incredibly well developed. Typography always plays a pivotal role in design alongside color and images. The organization of the Swiss style inspires my work while I also like to explore geometric illustrations when appropriate. My portfolio is a record of my design growth and my curiosity to explore different styles of design.

There is always more to learn in the field. My goal is to challenge myself to keep on exploring the field and exceed my own expectations.
